Roasting a chicken

At first i thought that roasting a chicken would be difficult, then after we did it in culinary class i learned that it was the complete oposite. As my chef would say " if you can't roast a chicken, you might as well sign up for truck driving school" lol i thought that was really funny. My chef was right its so easy that if you don't 'know how to do it then you probably won't make it in the culinary world.

My Second Day of culinary school

In my second Class, we grilled steaks and did various things with potatoes. It was my first time ever grilling a steak and i wanted to get it just right. We made the steaks medium well and i did it right for the first time i was very proud of myself and it looked presentable. we learned how to put the proper grill marks on it to make it look stunning. It was a very good steak as well. the potatoes weren't as easy as i thought they were going to be. depending on the potatoe depends on the time and way you cook it. But in the end everything turned out great

My fist day making a french omelet in culinary arts

My first day of college in culinary arts we cooked eggs. I have cooked all my life so i was thinking that it was going to be easy, boy was i wrong. When i was in highschool i had taken a culinary class and we did omelets in there. When i got to college then we did it completely different. It wasn't as easy as it seemed to be. We had to take two eggs and beat them with a fork in small bowl until most of the air was out. We put them into a hot pan, as it cooked we took a square rubber spatula and moved it back in fourth as we shook the pan, that was to inturupt the curd and make sure the air was out, so we didn't have any white spots in our omelet. We had it at low heat until it was pretty much cooked with only a little bit of egg left to cook. then we put our ingredients to season it, and foled it over but not all the way. then we took it out of the pan and folded it over again so it look like a roll. then we garnished it. we couldn't have any brown on it at all. and thats not an easy thing to accomplish, it also couldn't be too runny. After a while we all finally accomplished it.
